Passover Holiday Hours: We Will Be Closed Starting Tomorrow and Reopen Friday

Passover begins tomorrow, and we want to give customers a clear heads-up: Alpha Locks and Safe will be closed starting Tuesday, April 7, 2026, and will reopen on Friday, April 10, 2026. Before we step away for the holiday, here is a quick update, a short note about Passover, and a locksmith-friendly reminder to check your doors before the week gets busy.

Passover holiday hours notice from Alpha Locks and Safe

Passover, or Pesach, is a holiday about freedom, family, memory, and gathering around the Seder table. For our team, it is also a moment to pause, celebrate with family, and make sure customers know our schedule in advance so nobody is stuck wondering whether the locksmith is available or also observing the holiday.

Holiday Hours Update

Alpha Locks and Safe will be closed starting tomorrow, Tuesday, April 7, 2026. We plan to resume regular service on Friday, April 10, 2026.

If you need non-emergency locksmith service, please call or email us before we close. If you contact us while we are away, leave a voicemail or message through our contact page and we will follow up as soon as we reopen.

Important Notice

If you need service after the holiday, leave us a message at (929) 367-6689 or email oren@alphalockandsafe.com. We will return messages once we are back on Friday.

What Passover Is About

Passover commemorates the Exodus from Egypt and is one of the most meaningful holidays in the Jewish calendar. Families gather for the Seder, retell the story of freedom, eat matzah, and spend time with the people who matter most. The holiday is deeply rooted in memory, gratitude, and the idea that home is where traditions are passed from one generation to the next.

For many families, the days leading up to Passover are full of preparation: cleaning, cooking, hosting, and making sure everything is ready before the first meal begins. In other words, it is a lot like getting ready for guests, just with more matzah and much less patience for last-minute problems.

Why Locksmiths Notice Passover Doorways

As locksmiths, we notice doors a little faster than the average person. Passover happens to include one of the most memorable doorway moments in history, so naturally it gets our attention.

The story is not really about hardware, of course. It is about protection, identity, and the people inside the home. That part feels very familiar to us. Every day we help customers secure the place where family gathers, rests, celebrates, and keeps what matters safe.

Even during a holiday about freedom, your front door should not be giving strangers too much freedom.

That is the locksmith version of holiday wisdom, but the point is simple: peace of mind starts at the entrance. Strong locks, working hardware, and a door that closes properly let you focus on family instead of worrying about what is happening back at home.

Quick Lock Checklist Before You Go

If you are heading out for a Seder, visiting relatives, or leaving home for a few days, take two extra minutes and run through this checklist:

1. Check Every Exterior Door

Make sure the front door, back door, basement entry, garage door, and any side entrance all close fully and lock smoothly. A door that only "mostly" latches is not secure.

2. Test Any Lock That Has Been Acting Up

If a deadbolt has been sticking, a key has been hard to turn, or a handle feels loose, today is better than tomorrow. Locks have terrible holiday timing.

3. Use Light Timers If the House Will Be Empty

A dark house for several evenings in a row is never ideal. A few light timers can make the home look occupied while you are away.

4. Keep Your Spare Key Plan Simple

If someone needs access while you are out, make sure the plan is clear. Trusted family, a reliable neighbor, or a smart lock code is better than hiding a key in the most obvious fake-rock location on the block.

Alpha Locks & Safe Pro Tip

If your lock has been giving you a warning sign for a week, believe it before the holiday starts. Small lock problems love turning into full lockouts at the least convenient time.
